A lot of guys don’t tend to put a lot of effort into their preparation for nights out, whether it’s for the big night out on the town with friends or a house party, it’s regularly a case of your favourite or newest t-shirt, a pair of jeans or trousers and either casual or smart shoes. Simple as that.
We all complain about how long it takes women to get ready, and that could be one reason behind why it takes men about ten minutes to go from “not started getting ready” to “are we going yet.” You then get the completely opposite set of guys who do take pride in their appearance and seem to take forever getting ready, ensuring their hair is just right and that their stubble isn’t too heavy.
Guys should put effort into their appearance, however, because feeling as though you look good can help make the difference between an okay night out, and a great night out because you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing, confident of having fun and who knows, maybe meeting “the one.” So what should you be wearing?
Club shirts are a popular option. These are the kind of shirts bought specifically for nights out, and not to be worn every day in the office otherwise you’ll just feel like you’re heading out to work rather than to have a relaxing and fun night out. Often looser fitting than a formal shirt and brighter, untucked from the trousers or jeans and maybe the cuff rolled up, you can have that smart casual feel that helps you stay relaxed but dressed up at the same time.
Then you have something completely “out there” for the other side of the coin. When you head out you might want to be noticed, you don’t want to just fade into the background, you want to be the life and soul of the party who gets in all kinds of conversations and doesn’t just hang on the back of your group of friends. Bright t-shirts with slogans, maybe even a morphsuit, (check out morphsuits US to see examples), which are all-in-one polyester and spandex body suits that are super stretchy and really cool, coming in all kinds of designs and sizes from Power Rangers to waiters and doctors.
Alternatively you might be going somewhere that has a strict dress code. In this instance you’re going to need to wear trousers as opposed to jeans, maybe even a suit jacket instead of your normal jacket or hooded top, and smart shoes rather than trainers or plimsoles because many places just don’t allow you in if you’re wearing trainers or “outdoor” shoes.
