Foods and Recipes? It is indeed more fun in the Philippines.
Chicken recipes are one of the best Filipino recipes the Philippines can offer. It is very well known for its unique and distinctive taste. A native chicken along side with few spices and condiments can really make a best selling, jaw dropping food specialty. For example, the Filipino chicken adobo, it is indeed plain looking (with few ingredients being used) and fairly easy to do but the taste, oh my, its heavenly!
Aside from everyone’s favorite chicken adobo, There are still different kinds and types of dish Pinoys can make out of a chicken. Below are some of the well known and turns out to be my all time favorite Filipino chicken recipes. Check it out and see how it is cooked and done.
Tinolang Manok (Chicken Ginger Stew)
Some, specially the foreigners, are calling this food or recipe as Tinolang Manok Chicken Soup. This chicken recipe is composed mostly of a simple broth with chicken, spinach and green papaya, it is a favorite home-style dish in the Philippines. Nowadays, this recipe is cooked with some extra ingredients being added for a different look and taste.
Pininyahang Manok (Chicken Cooked With Pineapple)
Pininyahang manok is made of sweet pineapple flavor along with coconut milk thus, producing a very splendid taste. This recipe is very tasty because of how the coconut milk and pineapple complements the chicken. This recipe is faily easy to do as well.
Rellenong Manok (Stuffed Deboned Chicken)
Relyenong manok is a kind of chicken recipe wherein, the chicken is deboned then stuffed or filled with different ingredients. This chicken recipe is kind of not that easy to do and make. The deboning alone should be perfect to avoid damaging the chicken skin. But once you have perfectly deboned the chicken, all you have to do now is place the stuffing inside the whole chicken.
There you have it! My all time favorite Filipino chicken recipes. I hope I made you hungry and crave for them with this sumptuous post of mine.

Your post makes me crave for some chicken adobo right now, and it’s 11:15pm here! Haha
Thanks for sharing!
Tinolang manok is the best for me..! Ito yung niluluto ng lola ko pagbumibisita kami sa kanila.. Yung may hilaw na papaya at dahon ng sili then medyo maanghang ng konti.. (SARAP!!)
Di ko feel ang pininyahang manok!
Thanks for the comment! Tinolang manok with spicy touch is indeed one of the best. “Sabaw pa lang ulam na!”
Oh My Gosh!
Chicken Adobo has always been one of my favorites. When I was in the U.S. Navy they used to cook it onboard ship and it was the BEST!!!
When I lived in California near Daly City, there were many Filipinos and Filipino restaurants where I could get it, but NOT in Florida!
I miss it!
Thanks for sharing!

I am both. But mostly, I am the eater.
Delicious! My hubby loves tinolang manok while I prefer pininyahang manok
we have yet to try to rellenong manok
Wow, I still remember my first time to cook rellenong manok, I even blogged about it. Haha now I’m salivating over your pic!
Pininyahang manok, i was thinking of Menudo. I just had tinola yesterday, yummy.
I love chicken, but for some reason, I don’t dig tinola that much. Whenever we’re having it at home, I don’t feel enticed at all >.< I still prefer my adobong manok, and I like rellenong manok too
