Information Security 101 Seminar
Yesterday, July 16, 2010, Me and my friend attended this Information Security seminar 101 at Kartini Hotel, Kawit Cavite. The said event was spearheaded by iSens Asia along with their partner, Touch Solutions Incorporated (TSI).
The conference room was fully packed (as we expected, because we are late for the event). Different persons are there. From company IT staffs, government IT personnel, IT teachers up to military IT security experts.
Mr. Randall Lozano is the main speaker of that event. He delivers and explains well the basics of information security and how we can protect our data and even our self from malicious intruders, hackers and malwares.
Mr. Lozano is a really energetic speaker. He really makes sure that everybody gets what he is trying to deliver, not to mention, those side jokes and humors he throws at the audience.
After Mr. Lozano, a high ranking Philippine Navy official speaks up. He really catches the full attention of the audience since he is really a man of honor (not to mention that he is in his full uniform). The said official speaks and shares his knowledge about information security. He emphasizes the importance of IT Security.
Then, a staff from TSI or Touch Solutions Incorporated explains their core product; Acronis. I listened to the speaker well and at a certain point, something hits my curiosity. So what I did is I asked this person beside me, who is a part of the TSI team, about their product. He explains really well what it was all about and how it can help our company. As we speak along, I learned that he is the President of TSI. He is no other than Mr. Anson Uy.
All I can say is that, Mr. Anson Uy is a very approachable person. I can tell, from his aura alone, that he is a really good guy who knows his craft very much. Before our conversation ended, he gave me his calling card so I can call him anytime I have questions or clarifications about their products.
Well, my overall experience about this seminar is really superb. What I mean is, it was really close to excellent.I can rate the whole event 4 out of 5.
To the staffs, personnel and key persons who really worked hard for this seminar, I am personally thanking you for this wonderful experience. I can’t wait for Mr. Lozano’s Information Security 201.
